Hey!
My job gave me the meaning and purpose I had lost in my previous position. I quickly earned a seat at the table and was given the freedom to rebuild entire departments and turn others around. Along the way, I invested in myself, earning a Master's Degree, along with many certifications and certificates. My professional success led to numerous speaking engagements, high-level awards in the Greater Philadelphia area, and the ability to travel the world, all while balancing my role. I obtained the financial freedom to not think twice if I want to book a flight to my next destination or start major house projects. I wake up every day with a sense of purpose, and it is fulfilling. I'll be honest— at times, it is stressful, but no job will ever be 100% perfect and stress-free, regardless of what other people might tell you. I will keep it real with you. No journey is ever going to be perfect. You will make mistakes along the way, but when you make a mistake and learn from it, there is so much growth that comes from it. What are you waiting for?
I was stuck in a stressful job that I absolutely hated. Sound familiar? One day, I decided to change my situation. I spent time rebranding myself professionally, highlighting my value and the business results I have achieved in my current and past roles. I carefully researched companies I was applying to and only applied to companies and positions I was truly interested in. While I always considered myself good at interviewing, I dedicated time to further enhancing my interview skills. I learned how to communicate my value to prospective employers in a new way. I flipped interviews, where I also interviewed prospective employers to see if this was a fit for me. This led me to landing multiple offers, all within a span of a week and a half. I learned how to say no and pull myself from interview processes where I did not feel it was the right fit. I wasn't going to leave my job until I found the right fit—I wasn't jumping on the first offer that came my way. When I said yes to my current job, I was confident that my life was going to change—and it did.
